My name is Erykah Tharpe;

 

I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern seeking to achieve my License in Clinical Social Work. I have obtained my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University and my master’s degree in Social Work from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I've been honored to serve vulnerable people whose voices are often unheard as a child welfare case administrator, advocate for at-risk youth, school social worker, and nonprofit leader.  Now I am on a mission to uplift and elevate the Social Work Profession.

My journey from recent graduate to experienced social worker was not an easy one. I still remember how astray I felt after graduation, seeking so much time and energy in my job search because I didn’t know how to find the right opportunities that were aligned with my overall career goals. I didn’t know how to market myself effectively or build my personal brand as a new social worker.

THATS WHY I CREATED THEJOURN.E:

• To help social workers gain clarity, build their personal brand to market themselves effectively and get hired using their experiences.  A dedicated safe space for those who are aspiring to attain a career in Social Work

• I created this haven to cultivate an open dialogue between Social Workers and those to become. With class, style, and functionality, I will continue to strive to make content that will uplift and empower social workers in all realms of our field. Let's take on this journey together!
